J. Robert Verbesey, Executive Director
jrverbesey@fgcu.edu | (239) 745-3723

Bob Verbesey has spent all of his adult life working in libraries. With over 30 years experience managing libraries, he was the founding director of both a public and an academic library, and he has been teaching library management at five universities for the past 23 years.

Upon his starting at SWFLN on October 1, 2009, Bob said: “I am so excited about this opportunity.  I first got involved with SWFLN eight years ago, shortly after I arrived in Florida.  During that time I have gotten to know and admire so many of the areas librarians and library managers.  My sole aim is to serve them.  That is the only reason why Luly, Lee and I are here – to serve.  So I ask the member libraries to let us know how we can serve you better.”
